Cortisone creams may make psoriasis worse

Cortisone cream is synthetic cortisol. So what it does it gives your body a boost of cortisol temporarily and your body "Ah, we needed that...good." But what happens is that it actually suppresses your adrenal glands. So it actually makes the problem worse in the long run. It's a temporary, quick fix where you may see a twenty even thirty percent reduction. But guess what? It comes back with a vengeance.

D: So it's kind of like the adrenals saying "If somebody else is providing all this cortisol, why should I work?

Right, right. And they basically just suppress and stop producing at all. That's exactly what happens.

And the same thing happens with asthma inhalers. It's really important if you have asthma to know that it's very, very common for people that have psoriasis to also have asthma or to have allergies and hay fever. These are all connected to the same thing.

So it's common, very common for us to have one, two or even all three of these. But if you're taking an asthma inhaler, it's going to make your adrenal glands worse so it will make your psoriasis worse.

And if you're using cortisone cream it's going to make your psoriasis worse in the long term. So it's better to stop all of these and to get to the root cause by healing your adrenal glands all naturally.
